History

Orod was born into a middle-class family in the north of Iran. Despite being diagnosed with a rare syndrome causing low vision from early on, he nurtured a passion for mathematics, dreaming of using his knowledge to combat the brutality, injustice, deception, and subjugation he perceived in the world.

Competing in the University entrance exam, he secured a high ranking and gained admission to his preferred major. In the Ariamehr University, his singing talent was explored by his musician friends. Notably,  music education in Iran's school system is lacking, hindering talent development for those not financially privileged.

In 2013, he started learning about music theory, and then was trained as a classical singer.  Joining a professional,  choir in Tehran, Orod gained more experience in harmony and sight, singing . He also became  a solo vocalist in prestigious concerts like "Old Songs”.

In 2016, he immigrated to the United States for graduate studies. He looked at this huge change in his life as a great opportunity to pursue his dreams despite his impairment.

Throughout his musical journey, Orod covered songs by industry legends, imbibing lessons of standing up for freedom and being the voice of the silenced. Motivated by the tragedy of the PS752 missile attacks in 2020, he felt a heightened responsibility to voice the suffering worldwide, especially in Iran.

In 2021, Orod recorded his first solo album, "Resurgence of the 20th Century," encompassing various genres from rock and metal to pop and jazz.

In 2022, as he began writing his first original album, a vision complication led to surgery in September. Post-surgery, he sensed a crackdown in Iran, prompting him to write an anthem to unite people globally in solidarity with Iranians.

Lacking musicians around him, Orod reached out worldwide, ultimately collaborating with talented artists from various countries. In 2023, this joint effort brought the anthem’s demo to life, marking the beginning of a global creative journey.

Throughout 2024, Orod has been devoted to completing his debut album, Beyond Your Vision. The seven-song album is a testament to resilience and empowerment, inspired by the strength of individuals overcoming challenges, particularly within the blind and visually impaired community. With every track, Orod seeks to spark thought, ignite courage, and redefine what it means to see beyond limitations.

In November of 2024, Orod joined RAMPD (Recording Artists and Music Professionals with Disabilities) as a pro member, connecting with a global network of artists breaking barriers in the music industry. His involvement reflects his ongoing commitment to using music as a platform for advocacy and inclusion.

In 2025, Orod began a transformative collaboration with a talented producer, leading to the creation of several powerful new tracks. By 2026, as a wave of tragedy unfolded in Iran, where tens of thousands were silenced in a brutal massacre , Orod felt a profound, heightened responsibility to complete the anthem. He gave “For the Freedom” a new purpose, ensuring it became a voice for the voiceless, speaking up for those forgotten by mainstream media and standing firm for freedom, justice, and human rights. With this mission, he released “For the Freedom” in 2026, a powerful anthem that continues to ignite hope and a call for liberation.

At present, Orod is focused on writing new songs, continuing to channel his creative energy into music that advocates for freedom and human rights.
